“Run the River” was started in 2001, by the HomeStretch Organization. This event quickly grew into a very large, desirable race with over 1200 registrants in 2017. Today, this Race remains one of the most loved and prized races in the Roswell Community.

 At Homestretch, we love our Run the River event, as it allows our most beloved partners and volunteers to support, give and engage with our mission! The proceeds of this USATF-certified and Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race Qualifier Race, help HomeStretch in its mission to disrupt the cycle of Homelessness.  

Run the River is one of the flattest AJC qualifiers. This cool and fun course is for competitive runners in the 5K or 10K, almost ensuring a personal best! The race is also suitable for active strollers for a scenic and enjoyable 5K walk. For those with a love of the outdoors, there is something for everyone! A Youth Fun Run is also available for those 12 and under.
