Individual Volunteer Roles
Work directly with a HomeStretch family to meet defined financial goals, assist with budgeting, and coach for financial management and good decision making. This role will be on an ongoing basis, and the volunteer will meet with the family at least once a month. Will help clients save, pay down debt, and increase their credit score. Work with clients under the financial management pillar on the bridge to self-sufficiency.
Type of Role: Individual
Frequency: Once a month (ongoing)
Time Commitment: 60-90 minutes
Requirements: Instruction and onboarding, background and criminal check, and basic Homestretch introduction
Qualifications: A Financial Success Coach should have experience in financial coaching or budgeting. They must possess strong financial literacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse families to set and achieve financial goals.
Work directly with a HomeStretch family to build a supportive relationship that values the family, encourages communication, and celebrates progress. Helps clients build uplifting, healthy, and supportive relationships. Works with clients under the wellbeing pillar on the Bridge to Self Sufficiency.

Qualifications: A Family Mentor should have experience in mentoring or social services. They must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with empathy and cultural sensitivity to work with diverse families.
Serve as a guest speaker/subject matter expert at one of our on-going education sessions for the families or provide meals or childcare during an education session. Teaching life skills helps families build skills necessary for managing their households and building forward looking planning long term.

Frequency: One-time
Time Commitment: 60-90 minutes
Requirements: Instruction and onboarding and basic Homestretch introduction
Qualifications: Expertise in relevant life skills topics, such as household management or long-term planning, and experience in public speaking or education. They must possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
Assist with office tasks, mailing, answering phones, and serves as receptionist once a week or twice a month. Will work in office at 89 Grove Way. This role ensures smooth office operations, supports communication, and enhances our ability to effectively serve our community by managing essential administrative tasks.

Time Commitment: 9:00AM-12:00PM or 12:00-4:00PM
Requirements: Instruction and onboarding and basic Homestretch introduction
Qualifications: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with experience in office tasks such as mailing and answering phones. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and previous administrative experience are preferred.
Serve on an event committee or volunteer at a fundraising event such as The Peachtree Tea in the fall & Run the River Road Race in the spring. Volunteering with fundraising events helps our team raise much-needed funds to support our operations.
Type of Role: Individual
Frequency: Ongoing until completion of event
Time Commitment: Varies
Requirements: Instruction and onboarding and basic Homestretch introduction
Qualifications: Experience in event planning or fundraising, with strong organizational and teamwork skills. They should be detail-oriented and capable of handling various tasks involved in coordinating and executing fundraising events. A passion for supporting nonprofit operations and the ability to commit to seasonal events.
Assist with tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and cleaning units to be prepared for incoming tenants. Volunteers help create a warm and safe environment that our families can call home!
Type of Role: Individual
Frequency: One-time projects
Time Commitment: Varies
Requirements: Instruction and onboarding and basic Homestretch introduction
Qualifications: Basic skills in painting, minor repairs, and cleaning. They must be detail-oriented and committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for incoming tenants. A willingness to work collaboratively and follow safety guidelines is essential.
Assists with property beautification, landscaping, and general property maintenance. Volunteers help create a warm and safe environment that our families can call home!

Time Commitment: Varies

Qualifications: Experience in property maintenance, landscaping, and beautification projects. They must possess strong skills in various maintenance tasks, including repair work and gardening, with attention to detail.

Volunteer orientations take place on the 3rd Tuesday at 10am and 3rd Thursday at 6pm of every month.
